Farah started Aurora Beauty because she believes that nature is the best healer. Growing up, Farah was exposed to many different cultures at a very young age. She was born and raised in Kuwait, lived for three years in India and also spent one year living in the Philippines during the Gulf War. This exposure to so many experiences led to her fascination with different beauty rituals from all around the world.

Growing up, Farah had a long history with skin allergies and eczema which deeply affected her self-esteem. When harsh creams prescribed by doctors and conventional beauty products failed to treat her skin, her mother, who worked as a nurse, introduced her to natural alternatives shared with her by women she worked with. These were recipes handed down from generation to generation and are what finally helped Farah’s skin heal.

Her vision for Aurora Beauty was to create a place where every beauty product was pure, beautifully packaged, and, most importantly, delivered effective results. To achieve this level of quality, Farah works with artisans from across the globe who are passionate about their craft and do incredible work by combining nature and science which yields amazing products. Farah has made it her mission to find the most amazing undiscovered gems and bring them to her customers.

The Greenly Guide: What has been your favorite thing, or what do you find most rewarding about owning Aurora Beauty?

Farah: The biggest reward of owning Aurora Beauty is the incredible individuals that I get to meet and interact with from all walks of life. Just having their incredible love and support makes all the hard work worth it! I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one, without whom Aurora Beauty would not be possible.

The Greenly Guide: What did you find was your biggest struggle in starting Aurora Beauty?

Farah: The biggest challenge was definitely having to wear many different hats as a small business owner and finding the right balance between the business and family life.
